Orange sodium discharge lamps have been perfectly fulfilling the function of public lighting for more than 50 years, but with the advent of LED technology and higher demands on energy efficiency, they began to be systematically replaced by white LED light. Light with highly concentrated energy in short wavelengths, especially in the blue region, negatively affects not only the human organisms, but especially wildlife. Circadian rhythms are disrupted and, as a result, the risk of civilisation diseases increases, and 75% of the biomass of flying insects has been exterminate in Europe over the last 30 years: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/art... But there is a solution! It is comparable in cost, more energy efficient than orange sodium discharge lamps, and above all it does not endanger the environment and the organisms living in it (including plants).
