This is a Eureka The Boss Smart Vac Upright Vacuum, model 4870 type MZ-2 that I was given to me from my cousin through my uncle. Previously I owned another variant of 4870 Smart Vac ( • Eureka the Boss Smart Vac 4870 GZ Upr... ), but I sold it a while ago after wanting to get one that's more feature rich, and initially I wanted the blue one (the GZ variant) since it was one of my more favorite colors (next to the dark green version) and had the power paw attachment included, but this one I do like since it has the power paw tool. When I got this, the only attachments that came with it are the power paw and both wands, the rest I had to source on eBay and Amazon. This was one of the first series of vacuums from Eureka to feature what Eureka now calls the Airspeed technology which has a long clear plastic tube on the left side of the machine and has a suction diverter valve to send suction to either vacuum head for normal vacuuming or to the hose for using the tools. The advantage of having suction go through a long plastic tube instead of going through a hose is that it greatly increases the vacuum's airflow instead of being slowed down by going through several twists and turns inside a hose which is a common problem with most clean air vacuums. This vacuum has a brush roll on/off feature operated by a small switch down on the head to be able to turn the brush roll on and off for cleaning bare floors and features a 12 amp motor with clean air design, and takes Eureka type RR bags (this example is running generic HEPA bags). The suction and airflow are excellent on this machine and the agitation is also so excellent enough that it will propel the vacuum forward like it's self propelled. My only complaints about this machine is that it's quite heavy when lifting it up and down stairs. Overall, for a Eureka, I really love this vacuum, and it's a shame they're discontinued and replaced with those newer Chinese made pieces of crap, these are excellent machines in their time and in my opinion are way more superior than those newer machines.
