I landed in Spokane and immediately questioned my life choices... freezing doesn’t even begin to describe it. First order of business: meeting Katherine’s new boyfriend. Naturally, I gave him a hard time. Consider it a family tradition. If you’re dating my daughter, you’re going to earn it. From there, we hit the road to Tri-Cities for the WSU vs UW hockey game, where Katherine and I teamed up to record the game for a video project. Cold rink, great energy, big rivalry; exactly how college hockey should be. In between all that, we squeezed in some Sim Golf (because priorities), then headed over to Wyatt’s house for breakfast, where his dad casually handed me a few golf clubs. No questions asked. Legendary move. Just a quick 2.5-day trip, but packed with Father and daughter time, sports, golf, and a little friendly intimidation. Wouldn’t have it any other way.
