New Ukulele Wednesday and Saturdays Tabs - \\ Today we are going to learn how to play "In My Life" by The Beatles on the ukulele in the chord melody style. This style is also known as "Fingerstyle" or "Solo Ukulele" as we will be playing both the melody and the harmony... at the same time! This song doesn't follow the traditional pop format of Verse Chorus Verse Chorus Bridge Verse Chorus or anything like that. The riff functions as an intro, but also kind of like a chorus or you could think of it as a blues turnaround as it creates some tension and then takes you back to the top of the verse. As always we will break down the song note for note with all the tabs on the screen, everything you need to learn how to play the song and then at the end of the lesson we will do a full play-through so you can play the song. In the play-along we play through the verse twice before the coda, subtle difference is the actual song is played through 3 times before you arrive at the coda to finish the song.
