Which was the first ever film you saw in a theatre? Tell us in the comments! Early theatres first tried plain cloth, painted walls, even mica dust—but the images were too dim or tinted. Then came silver: the brightest, most colour-true reflector of all metals. Screens dusted with silver made films sharp, glittering, and finally watchable from every seat. Harry C. Williams, a projectionist in Ohio, pioneered silver coatings in the 1920s and later even created vinyl screens with fish-scale shine. By the 1940s–50s, his company helped make silver screens standard. That’s how the phrase stuck and cinema itself became “the Silver Screen.” #FilmyCode #SilverScreen #MovieTheatres
