Continuación directa del mítico Splatterhouse, famoso juego de Namco por su temática de terror y gore, que apareció en Arcade, Pc Engine, Fm Towns y posteriormente en Pc. En esta segunda parte, que se desarrolla tres meses después, la máscara convence a Rick de que Jennifer todavía está viva y que le puede ayudar a encontrarla. De esta forma, volvemos a los restos de la casa de la primera parte. El juego apareció en exclusiva para Megadrive/Genesis, al igual que su tercera parte. La mecánica del juego es clavada a su predecesor, y es el único que mantiene el mismo estilo que la primera parte. He jugado a la versión japonesa ya que la mayoría de partidas son de las versiones occidentales. Hay algunas pequeñas diferencias: aquí hay más información en la intro que cuenta con más detalles la historia; los textos también cambian un poco; la máscara es diferente: aquí se parece a una máscara de kabuki (personalmente prefiero la máscara-calavera occidental); no hay passwords en la versión japonesa y solo 5 continues; y los niveles de dificultad no son exactamente iguales (en la versión occidental, el nivel más alto de dificultad se llama Game Master y nos dan dos corazones en vez de uno). Por lo demás, el juego es exactamente igual. El juego no es especialmente difícil, ya que los enemigos son contados, pero por alguna razón se me resistía el poder acabarlo sin que me tocasen. De hecho, grabé hace semanas un GMV con el Gens completándolo, pero al reproducirlo, misteriosamente me mataban en el quinto nivel (¡lo mismo hay alguna maldición!). Así que me tocó grabarlo directamente en AVI con el Fusion. Espero que lo disfrutéis. There are some minor differences: there is more information in the introduction, the text also changes a bit, the mask is different and the one here looks like a kabuki mask (personally I prefer the Western skull-mask), no passwords in the Japanese version and only 5 continues, and the difficulty levels are not exactly equal (in the Western version, the highest level of difficulty is called "Game Master" and we have two hearts instead of one).
