Sul Carso soffia la Bora piegando erbe ed alberi nella direzione del vento. Sotto il Carso scorrono le acque come per sfuggire a quel vento asciutto. Quando le precipitazioni sono abbondanti le acque turbolente del sottosuolo generano potenti soffi d'aria che fuoriescono dal suolo carsico e dal fondo delle doline rivelando puntualmente i percorsi delle acque. E' il vento delle grotte, un fenomeno naturale di questi luoghi carsici che sprigiona le energie delle alluvioni sotterranee e rivela agli speleologi importanti indicazioni.
