Automated component handling in front of an OTEC streamfinish facility with a compact handling system unirobot 8P khs from FMB Maschinenbau. Step 1: The workpiece carrier is simply inserted into the cell Step 2: The components are taken from the carrier by the Fanuc LRMate 200iD and placed into the OTEC streamfinish facility. OTEC has the goal of reinventing vibratory finishing. The newly developed processes such as PULSFINISH result in a high surface quality and deburr and round at the same time. Step 3: After the finishing process, the robot collects the component and adds a new one with the ZIMMER 2-Jaw Parallel Gripper. The component pick-up and set-down takes place during production time. Drag&bot allows the easy setup, programming and operation of the automation system via a graphical user interface. Step 1:The program is created by combining pre-defined function blocks via drag&drop. Step 2: These function blocks can be easily edited with intuitive Wizards. Step 3: The Operator Panel then allows users to graphically move the robot to the required position and parametrize positions and movements. Step 4: With the palletizing guide, various workpiece carriers can be setup with only a few steps. Step 5: The Worker Cockpit shows all necessary information and opportunities for interaction. The whole operation of the robot system in drag&bot can also be used via an integrated touch panel.
