In this video, we keep pushing forward on the 1947 Farmall H project with a big electrical upgrade and a few unexpected headaches. While working on cleaning the fuel system, I realized I needed the tractor running — which led to replacing a thrown generator belt, swapping old radiator hoses, and finally converting the tractor from 6 volts to a 12-volt alternator setup. What should have been a simple belt change turned into a full-on fight with a clutch-style pulley design that had me questioning every engineer from 1947 😅. Add in cracked hoses, cold temperatures, and parts delays, and this turned into a proper garage rant session. In the end, the alternator is charging, the tractor is idling beautifully, and we’re one step closer to getting this Farmall reliable again. 🔧 In this video: Generator belt failure & pulley teardown Radiator hose replacement 6V to 12V alternator conversion Cold-weather wrenching in an unheated barn Testing charging voltage at idle More Farmall work coming soon — including cleaning and restoring the fuel tank. 👍 Like, subscribe, and follow along as we keep bringing this old tractor back to life. — Richwine Garage
