★ 4K 🇦🇹 Graz - Selzthal - Innsbruck - Bludenz - 🇨🇭 Buchs cab ride, Austria [27.2.2021] ÖBB 1110

We're on a bit of a longer journey in this video, bringing some empty and cleaned tank wagons from near Graz to the Swiss border station of Buchs. We'll be driving on some famous Austrian alpine railways in an historic locomotive that the Austrian federal railways took out of service in 2003. Back in the day, it saw a lot of service on the lines we're on here, due to it's strength, thanks to it's 6 traction motors. I think this is actually our first video in a locomotive with 3 axle bogies. This was recorded towards the end of winter, so it's not very green. We'll take a look at this line in the other direction in summer in a future video. As we were travelling, we encountered a large number of train spotters. They can be a bit hard to see in the video, but I was sure there were over 100. I never counted them though - which I invite anybody who would like to - to do. I'd be interested to hear your results! Here's a list of the railways we'll pass over in order (bahn = line): 1. Südbahn 2. Rudolfsbahn 3. Ennstalbahn 4. Salzburg - Tirolerbahn (Giselabahn) 5. Unterinntalbahn 6. Arlbergbahn 7. Vorarlbergbahn 8. Feldkirch - buchs The last line passes through the whole country of Liechtenstein, before entering Switzerland. It gets dark during our ascent on the Arlberg line. Not to worry, I had a camera with me that did an ok job with the dark. In any case, the line will be coming out at some stage in full daylight.
