How fast will a 2004 CRF230F go? In this video, I take my almost 100% stock CRF230F as fast as I can get it to go. Follow me on Instagram: @go_ride_howie The bike is essentially stock with the exception of a 47 tooth rear sprocket (stock is a 50), and the previous owner had removed the diffuser from the exhaust but that's about it. (Previous owner also put in a 132 main jet, which is way, way too much for this bike in stock trim). Bike has a 102 main jet (all that I had) and a 42 pilot. DOT knobby tires, and that's about it. I'm 5'10" tall and about 195 pounds. My weight shouldn't affect the top speed much (just how fast I get there); but height and width affect drag which will. If you're shorter, thinner, taller, or wider, that will all have an affect on how high of a top speed you'll see on your bike. I don't think the gearing made a difference, since the bike wouldn't quite pull all the way to redline in 6th gear. I think the bike may benefit from uncorking the air box and maybe a 120 main jet and a 45 pilot. We'll see...perhaps in another video?
