An ultrasound beam is brought to a focus and causes destruction to a small area which is a size of a grain of rice. The focus then moves from one point to another until a line is ablated. And they can go home in nearly two hours after the treatment and resume normal life the second day after treatment. As the ablated lesion will gradually shrink or even disappear over time, the symptoms will also be gradually alleviated or eliminated.
