Today, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav personally visited the site, where he paid tribute to the deceased and sat with the bereaved families to share in their sorrow. The Chief Minister also participated in the memorial service. Saurabh, the son of the deceased Manoj Pugalia, has refuted claims that the fire was caused by a vehicle that was being charged. Saurabh stated, "The electric car charger wasn't even connected at my home; so, how could it possibly have caused the fire?" He noted that a blast was occurring atop an electricity pole located near the house. He further expressed apprehension that some of the deaths might have resulted from the spread of electric current. He added that when he entered the house, it was heavily flooded with water.
