SUP CREW! Alright, so this topic really hits home for me, since working out played a HUGE part in my recovery..But there was a TON that I messed up on, and I don’t want the same thing to happen to you. I’m a huge believer that exercise can play an incredible role in eating disorder recovery, if the cards are played right. Mindset, time, sleep, nutrition… all areas of exercise I’m tryin to really break down in this vid, because they ALL play such a big part if you really want to exercise when you’re going through recovery. Out of everything though, if there’s ONE thing I want you to take away from this… It’s to BE CAREFUL. Be REALLY really careful.. An obsession with food can so easily get placed onto working out (literally with just the flip of a switch). During my time in Anorexia, and anorexia recovery, I struggled with that obsession swapping with food. I spun my wheels for a MINUTE..So avoid those same mistakes I made :) If you’re going through an eating disorder, or eating disorder recovery, ALSO know that exercise is not the ULTIMATE SOLUTION. In the end, exercise can act as a catalyst to help with recovery, but it won’t change who you are. At the end of the day, you’ll still be you (no matter what your body looks like) Oh PS i’ve also put timestamps below for if you want to jump ahead to the different topics!
