April 28, 2025 California leads the nation in year-round vegetable production. Vegetables gross the state approximately $10 B in annual revenue which is approximately 16% of the total income from agriculture to the state. Through this series of videos, this project, with funding from the CDFA Specialty Crops Program, aims to train the next generation of students, producers, and crop production advisors the major principles, practices, and aspects of vegetable production to sustain this highly productive agricultural industry of the state.
