When Storm Kristen hit Central Portugal, we had no idea what was coming. Winds of over 200km/h tore through our area — uprooting thousands of trees, destroying homes and businesses, and leaving over 1 million people without electricity. Including us. What followed were 14 days without power, no signal, and no clear timeline for when life would return to normal.
