Abdulrazaq Awofeso: Okrika

MAC commissioned Birmingham-based artist Abdulrazaq Awofeso to create a new sculptural commission inspired by the clothes waste markets in his native Nigeria. Known for his wooden sculptures made from discarded transportation pallets, Abdulrazaq made Okrika to explore the environmental and social impact of fast fashion. This new commission can be seen as part of Waste Age: What can design do?, a touring exhibition by the Design Museum, on show at MAC until Sun 23 February 2025.
