I was weak like you for years when I was younger. I ran the cookie cutter intermediate programs, like Wendler 5/3/1, Texas Method, 5x5, etc. I did a bunch of hard, heavy sets near failure, constantly trying to force more weight on the bar and never really getting any bigger or stronger. Now I can lift the common intermediate numbers with ease, most of them are my warm ups. I’ve hit a 247.5kg squat, a 160kg bench and a 300kg deadlift, whilst transforming my physique and confidence.
