Last spring, Nissan invited me out to Brooklyn to have a first look at the all new 2025 Nissan Kicks. Just a year later, I was able to drive this Kicks SR AWD for a week, as tested at $33,560 with a nearly maxed out options sheet. From the nice Scarlet Embers Tintcoat paint, a fun new design, and genuinely impressive MPG (and AWD system), the kicks is now very competitive; especially since it starts at $21,830. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🏁 @Alllcarnews Spec Sheet: Powering the 2025 Kicks is a 2.0L Naturally Aspirated 4-Cylinder engine paired to a retuned Xtronic transmission. 141 Horsepower now can be sent to the front or all four wheels through Nissan’s Intelligent AWD system with a new Snow mode for AWD models. 🏁 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Highs: The looks inside and out are fun, quirky, and customizable. The $1,950 premium pack is a must with a panoramic roof, unique Bose Personal plus speakers, and an ambient light pack amps things up. +MPG consistently was solid, averaging around or over 30MPG. +Interior tech is quick, works well, and offers a value for the price. Lows: -The suspension was much stiffer on the 19inch wheels than expected, and the zero gravity seats were not as comfy as hoped. -AWD models lose some cargo room. #ACNCarScore - 8/10 - The Kicks is more capable and competitive than ever before, though wider powertrain options would be nice, and other than looks, it’s hard to stand out in a crowded segment.
