Maya Bay film location | Phi Phi Island | Thailand | Sharks | Snorkelling

We are staying in the main area of Phi Phi and have an early morning sunrise trip on a private pre-booked longtail boat to take us round some island off of Phi Phi. We head to the beautiful island of Maya Bay the film location of the the film ‘The Beach’ with Leonardo DeCaprio. After we arrived on the jetty we made our way through the National park and headed to Maya Bay Beach. It was lovely to see how they have made this protected and seeing the marine life coming back. We saw baby black tipped reef shark coming into the shallow waters. We then headed back to our longtail boat where we headed to 2 beautiful snorkelling area, and saw the most colourful fish. We went back to Phi Phi and headed out for a evening walk and some dinner.
