Epiphany (Theophany) 2026-JAN-06 Church of St Charalambos, Sarandë, Albania The Ballroom Nomads take you to the Church of St Charalambos for the Epiphany Holy Day celebration. After the Liturgy, the congregation follows the priests to the harbor for the Great Blessing of the Waters where a cross is blessed and then tossed into the sea where young men dive in to retrieve it. Congregants return to church for additional blessings, lighting candles and then taking home blessed holy water. Some is consumed. Some is sprinkled about the house. The rest is saved for illness or difficult times. We hope you enjoy this video.
