(transcript below) Governor Christie: Two years ago when I took over, this state was in an enormous hole. A lot of people have written New Jersey's obituary. The New Jersey that we love, the New Jersey that we had grown up in was slipping away. Governor Christie says the state of New Jersey and government included must stop living beyond its means, all to help New Jersey attract jobs, businesses, and homebuyers. Governor Christie: I got sent to Trenton to fix our broken state. Leadership is not about fear. Leadership is about commitment. Leadership is about telling the truth, and leadership is about getting things done. Sean Hannity: New Jersey governor Chris Christie is turning heads and garnering national attention, and he's doing something very rare in politics these days: he's actually following through on the promises he's made. Governor Christie: I have a Legislature that's overwhelmingly Democratic. Yet we've accomplished balancing two budgets without raising taxes, we've now created 60,000 new private sector jobs. We've made government smaller. We've made it smarter. We've made it less expensive for people. Matt Lauer: New Jersey's Republican governor, Chris Christie, is making waves for his no-nonsense approach. Governor Christie: And I'm going to say things directly. The people of New Jersey know that that is a complete pile of garbage. Straightly. Get the hell off the beach in Asbury Park and get out. Bluntly. This is the crap I have to hear. And nobody in New Jersey is going to have to wonder where I am on an issue. If you're fortunate enough not to get sick, the payment you get is not being sick. If we did the really tough things we needed to do we're going to be able to start cutting taxes. The New Jersey comeback has begun.
