Here's another one where I didn't quite know what I was going to make until I was half way through. I kept getting the rough shape of a peanut, and then I remembered I needed something to snack on while I work. So, peanut it is! And I think he's the cutest chubby peanut. Anyway, I'm working on something that's taking quite long, so this one is kind of quick. For Woodturners: Mr. Peanut was turned from a maple log and his hat was turned from pine. The hat actually came as an afterthought because the lid fits so tight, it was hard to get off. His hat actually engages his stem and gives you the leverage to pop the cap off to access his deliciously shelled peanut insides. Sanded up to 3000 grit and finished with pure walnut oil.
