Rev. Fr. Philip Manathra was the pioneer of building this Church in a Small hut. Our Church was a substation of St. Antony's Shrine, Avadi. The late Archbishop Most Rev. DR. R. Arulappa, erected it as an independent parish at Krishnapuram in the year 1972 and built a church which is now the (present) community hall. Rev Fr. James Panaparampil served as the first parish priest. Rev Fr. V. M Thomas Vattakottayil (1975) developed the parish. He was succeeded by Rev. Fr. G. M. Joseph (1982). Then in the year 1985, Rev. Fr. P. J. Lawrence Raj took charge as the parish priest and constructed the school on 1986 and the new church in the year 1993. Then Rev Fr. J. Maria Amalaraj (1994), Rev. Fr. Jebamalai D (1999) and Rev. Fr. S.Kanikairaj (2000) had worked in our parish as Parish Priests. Rev Fr. P.K. Mathew was working as Parish Priest from the year 2007 onwards. After Rev Fr. P. K Mathew, Rev. Fr. Divyanathan and Fr. Pascal took the charge as Parish Priests in 2014 and 2015. Then, Rev Fr. Andrew Dominic took charge as Parish priest from May 2016 and renovated the Church on account of Silver Jubilee celebration and the opening ceremony was celebrated on 22nd July 2018 by our Most Rev. Dr. George Antonysamy, Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore. Consistently, Renovation of St. Joseph's School, Grotto of Our Lady, Eucharistic chapel, Bell tower, Dispensary was done by Rev Fr. Andrew Dominic. Finally, he inaugurated Sleeping St. JOSEPH's Statue on 16th June 2021. ✨ Now, Rev. Fr. Jacob is working as current Parish Priest from July 2021✨
