Crockpot Red Beans and Rice with Smoked Turkey Sausage: 1 pound bag of red beans or red kidney beans 1 cup chicken broth 1 small onion, chopped 1/4 to 1/2 cup country ham rinsed well and cut into small pieces 1 tablespoon Creole seasoning 1/2 to 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning 1 bay leaf 3/4 teaspoon salt Black pepper to taste 13-ounce package smoked turkey sausage Hot cooked rice Please see video for cooking instructions Hint: Check on your beans periodically to make sure that you have enough liquid. If beans seem dry, add more water. Make sure your beans are soft before pureeing them.
