Link to part 1: • Tacoma Hi-Clearance Rear Bumper with Swing... Link to Balmer's website: www.balmerfab.com Link to TMR website: https://ca.tmrcustoms.com I mentioned, in the video, that I would include a link to a video which shows how to layout the bolt pattern on a spare tire flange - after checking my videos, I realize that this was actually lost footage. My apologies to those who were looking for this guidance/info - I'll do a short video in the future to cover this. This time in the workshop, we take a bit of a break from the little Suzukis and other mini rigs that I normally work on, to undertake a swing-out rear bumper build for this super clean, 2nd gen Tacoma. Here in part 2, we'll focus on completing the base portion of the bumper and creating/finishing the swingarm. This build requires the removal of a large portion of the truck's box sides so it's not for the feint of heart but it certainly provides a ton of clearance compared to stock and offers a massive mount of protection as well. As you'll see, the bumper features, not only the hi-clearance aspect, but a 2" receiver rated for 5000lbs towing capacity and a 500lb tongue capacity, shackle mount recovery points, integral/removable mud flaps, a swing-out tire carrier, my rattle free, ultra strong latch, a heavy-duty spindle/hub set up with multiple lock-out points, a fold-up table with marine grade locking hinges, a Hi-Lift jack mount, 5gal military style fuel can holder and a license plate mount with light.
