Japan is planning to start releasing treated radioactive water from the tsunami-wrecked Fukushima nuclear power plant into the ocean, as early as late august. Local media are reporting that this will most likely happen soon after prime minister Fumio Kishida meets with his US and South Korean counterparts next week.
