Ok, about 6 months ago, I went to the auto parts store, and purchased a refrigerant recharging kit. I sprayed a bunch of the refrigerant into my KIA Optima, and magically... the air conditioning started working again! This time, when the AC stopped working, I tried the same procedure, and low an behold... not happened... the car is still blowing hot air... and this is no time to be fooling around... summer is kicking in... and things are getting really HOT! So I decided to purchased a kit from amazon to evacuate the AC system. This kit included a vacuum pump and manifold gauge set, required to do the job! Over the past few months, there must have been some air and moisture that leaked into the system over time... and this prevented the air conditioning to work properly...
