The main characteristics of these spiritual landscapes include the ideas of very refined taste, emptiness versus form, unity and harmony, atmospheric perspective with a unique use of light, heroic simplicity, and the ‘Six Ancient Principles,’ with their concepts of vital rhythm, spirit resonance, proper brush work, color harmony, spatial balance and transmission by copying works of antiquity.
