“सुकून नसीब था, जब तक, तुम्हारे पास रहे।” With divine grace, I feel blessed to present “Sukoon Naseeb Tha”, a timeless ghazal by Mahir Allahabadi, composed and taught to me by my revered Guru, Padmashri Madan Singh Chauhan. This work has been lovingly shaped with music programming by Akhil TR, arrangement, mix and master by my dear student Devanand SP, and visuals by Padmakumar. This release coincides with Pitra Paksha, This period in the Hindu calendar is a 16-lunar day fortnight dedicated to our ancestors ('Pitras'). It is a solemn time for remembrance, gratitude, and performing rituals to ensure our ancestors' souls are at peace. Dedicating this song to my late parents and in-laws is my humble offering ('shraddhanjali') to their memory. It is my belief that music transcends realms, and I hope this melody reaches them, conveying my deepest love and respect. It is only with the grace of the divine that I am able to share this tribute. Get ready to immerse yourself in this melody of love, loss and remembrance.
