This method of installation leaves no exposed fasteners, nothing to leak, and nothing to wear out. The cleats are nailed to the roof underneath the ridge using copper nails and then they're riveted to the ridge with copper/brass rivets. The result is a permanent, beautiful and maintenance-free installation.
