Following a record tying 71 degree Tuesday, warm temperatures return this Wednesday, along with elevated fire danger. Highs Wednesday will again soar to the upper 60s and low 70s across the Denver area and plains. Winds will be strong through the day, sustained between 20 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. A Red Flag Warning will be in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday for wind and low relative humidity for the Colorado plains. The mountains meanwhile are in store for more snow and high winds. Winter Storm Warnings are in place for Colorado's northern mountains. The Medicine Bow Range, near Rabbit Ears Pass, the Park, Elkhead and the mountains of Rocky Mountain National Park may see around 8 to 16 inches, with locally up to 22 inches of snow accumulation through midnight. Winter Weather Advisories are in effect as well for the mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range, and the Indian Peaks. The forecast is calling for about 4-8 inches of snow, 6-12 inches of snow in spots above 10,000 feet.
