The Tory leader attacked both Labour and Reform UK for being “addicted to psychodrama”, and called recent defectors “drama queens”. Sir Jacob explains why he thought Mrs Badenoch’s speech was “glorious”, and describes Suella Braverman’s smears on her former party as “ridiculous”. Tim spoke to the Conservative leader after she stepped off stage. He put to her the suggestion, floated by Sir Jacob on social media, that the Tories should not field a candidate in Gorton and Denton in order to give way to Reform UK.
