Alabama Rubicon, Georgia Traverse, Smokey Mountain 1000, & A Christmas Miracle

Come along with me, my wife, and our dog Teddy in our 2025 Toyota TRD Off-road hybrid Tacoma overland rig on our 3 day Christmas adventure along the Alabama Rubicon Trail, Georgia Traverse and Smoky Mountain 1000. We started the Alabama Rubicon Trail at midnight on Christmas Eve and made it to one of our familiar cliffside camping spots with an epic view. Christmas Eve morning we packed up camp and headed over to Roy Rob Falls, which was a new trail for us along the Alabama Rubicon Trail located between 600–1 and 600–2. It was well worth the drive down, but unfortunately, we did sustain some body damage driving over the rocks near the waterfall and also suffered a broken arm on our drone from a crash. Later on Christmas Eve night, we made our way along the Georgia traverse into the German town of Helen, Georgia to view the Christmas lights. We then made our way up on top of Tray Mountain to set up camp for the night. On Christmas morning we made our way into North Carolina along the Smoky Mountain 1000 route on the Blue Ridge Parkway which had lots of epic scenic views and overlooks. We decided to call it an early night around Big Witch Gap and set up camp before sunset to enjoy a nice steak dinner and a warm campfire. Unfortunately, we woke up on our final morning of the trip to discover a flat tire and we had no spare or plug kit with us. Watch the rest of the video to find out how we make it out.
