On this video, I will show how to simplify an algebraic expression with nested parentheses. Also, you will learn how properly apply the acronym PEMDAS, that stands for the order of operations being P for parentheses or brackets, E for exponents, M for multiplication, D for division, A for addition and S for subtraction. Applying PEMDAS can be a little trick and lead the student to make mistakes when solving an equation or simplify an algebraic expression. I go over explaining in details how to use this famous acronym and get the order of operations the right way. Order of Operations steps: 1- Perform all operations within parentheses ( ), brackets [ ], or other grouping symbols such as fraction bars, starting with the innermost set. 2- Evaluate any expressions with Exponents. 3- Multiply or divide in order from left to right. 4- Add or subtract in order from left to right. You will see as well how to solve exponents when it has parentheses or not and the number is negative. I strongly recommend that you try to solve the problem by yourself and then watch the video. ============================================= Music: https://www.bensound.com/
