The disassembly alone is extremely time-consuming and complex. Once opened, the internal design reveals a puzzle-like construction: Around four stacked PCBs A cooling fan and heatsink placed between boards Multiple flat ribbon cables and wiring harnesses interconnecting everything The main power distribution board located at the very bottom, meaning everything above it must be removed first After fully stripping the unit down, I traced the fault to the main 20V power rail, which was shorted directly to ground. Before voltage injection, a detailed visual inspection revealed the real culprit: ➡️ A discolored and cracked capacitor on the power distribution board. Once the faulty capacitor was removed, the short circuit disappeared. Since it was the only capacitor in that part of the circuit, I replaced it and moved on to testing.
