ONE PIECE OF TAPE. That's all it takes. There's a right and a wrong way to tape drywall patches around things like pipes, electrical boxes, windows etc. I'll show you how to tape these areas quickly, often with just ONE piece of joint tape. When I tape drywall repairs I often use mesh tape vs paper tape, but for this type of drywall patch, I use paper tape and all purpose joint compound.
