After the Waqf Amendment Bill was passed by the Parliament and signed by the President, the Waqf Amendment Act has now become a law. On one hand, some Muslim organizations celebrated its welcome, while on the other hand, a pile of petitions was filed in the Supreme Court against the new law on Waqf. About six people or organizations, including Owaisi and Arshad Madani, have filed petitions in the Supreme Court. In which the Waqf Amendment Act has been described as discriminatory against Muslims.
