White Belt Tournament | A BJJ White Belt's 1st Competition No-Gi (FULL MATCHES)

Welcome to "White Belt Tournament | A BJJ White Belt's 1st No-Gi Competition" In this video, I've put together the full matches from my 1st tournament as a white belt in BJJ with less than 6 months of experience in BJJ. The competition was the EVENTS BJJ Initiator Crown held at Olympic Park Sydney on 26 Feb 2021. The division was adult male -85kg no-gi. The competitors on the day were very tough and it was a privilege to share the mats with them! My coach on the day was JT from Bullet Proof For BJJ so check his socials out (the link is below) -------- MATCH SUMMARY The first match was a tough one where I was able to secure an armbar for the win. The second match was against a solid opponent but fortunately (for me) I was able to secure the takedown with head control and converted to a back take with a rear-naked choke as the submission. The third and final match of the day was against a really awesome guy named Ben. As you can see from watching the match, this was a very close match and it could have gone either way right until the very end. I was lucky enough to secure the takedown but was unfortunately unable to finish my multiple attempts at a guillotine and I ended up picking up the W up on 2 advantages. Thank you to Jeremy Skinner who has been my secret weapon teaching me so many techniques outside of class time to take my game to the next level, some of those techniques are featured in this video funnily enough. Last but definitely not least I want to thank my main man Zac who stuck it out with me and not only filmed the entire day but filmed the entire day on a 2-day post-operation knee.
