Full Product Review: Cerakote Rapid Ceramic Tire Coat Is Cerakote Rapid Ceramic Tire Coat & Protectant really the long-lasting tire shine it claims to be? In today’s video, I put it through a full, real-world test to see if it can live up to its promise of lasting 10X longer than traditional tire dressings. This ceramic-based, water-based formula is marketed as a professional-grade solution with a 100% satisfaction guarantee—but how does it actually perform? Application & First Impressions We start by comparing the Cerakote bottle to industry standards—10 fluid ounces instead of the usual 16. After shaking the bottle and applying it with the included applicator, I noticed the formula was very watery with a faint ethanol scent. While it spread easily and got into the tire grooves, the thin texture made it prone to dripping if sprayed directly. The initial finish looked great—clean, uniform, and with a nice satin-like sheen. Cost Breakdown After weighing the bottle before and after application, I calculated the cost per use at approximately 46 cents per tire. It’s on the pricier side compared to traditional products, but that might be justified if it really delivers long-term protection and shine. Durability Testing: 14 Days + Hose Test The tire was observed at several intervals: 2 days later, the shine still looked solid, although there were minor sling marks on the trim. 7 days in, the tire began to dull slightly—likely from normal dust and grime. 14 days later, the shine had faded more, but the tire still appeared well-dressed overall. To push it further, I gave the tire a 2-minute rinse with a garden hose to simulate a rainstorm. Beading was evident, and even after aggressive water exposure, there was still visible product left on the tire—though the deep shine had mostly worn off. Final Verdict Cerakote makes a bold claim with this tire dressing. It applies easily, looks great out of the gate, and holds up better than many water-based products I’ve tested. But does it really last 10X longer than the average tire shine? That’s for you to decide. It’s certainly a premium product with premium pricing—but if you’re after clean looks, minimal sling, and decent longevity, this might be one to try.
