Here, in the beautiful Isfahani Mansion, now known as the Kurd Mansion, I was introduced to a world of traditional foods. On this journey, I became captivated by the delicious and fragrant local soups, from herb-based stews to hearty meat dishes, each carrying a story of the history and culture of the Kurdish people. One of the unforgettable pleasures of this trip was the Nan Kalaneh, a bread baked by Kurdish women with love, warmth, and a joyful spirit. The bread, with its scent of the clay oven and fresh herbs, when freshly baked, offered a delightful taste. This bread, combined with homemade yogurt and a variety of stews, created a unique experience of the flavors of life in Kurdistan. During this journey, I captured moments on camera that taught me lessons from every detail of this rich culture. Each bite of these foods nourished not just the body, but also the soul, and with every spoonful of these stews, I felt a deeper connection to the history and people of this land.
