Oris' fifth in-house caliber since 2014, the caliber 114, provides power for the 2018 Oris Big Crown Propilot Caliber 114 GMT. The 44mm stainless steel pilot's watch offers a 10-day manually wound power reserve, a second time zone that can be set in 30-minute increments, a power reserve indicator, and a date. The Oris Big Crown ProPilot Caliber 114 GMT boasts 100-meter water resistance despite the use of a display caseback. Oris gives its watch buyers the option to buy watches from this sub-line with grey or black dials, on a steel bracelet, on a leather strap, or on a number of textile strap options; pricing for the new Oris will range from approximately $5,700 U.S. to $6,000 U.S. depending on the bracelet option selected. NOMOS Glashutte used Baselworld 2018 as a platform for the launch of it's newest sports watch, the NOMOS Autobahn. Pricing of $4,800 ensures that the NOMOS Autobahn will be budget friendly whether purchased direct from NOMOS or from its authorized dealers. Finally Rado pulled the veil from a charming new collection of two ceramic Rado Hyperchrome Ultra Light luxury watches. For $2,950 U.S. watch buyers can choose between two Rado Hyperchrome Ultra Light Models: bronze ceramic and brown ceramic. Both models feature a new ceramic formula that is lighter than the Legnau-based watch brand's standard ceramic blend. The movement within the Hyperchrome Ultra Light features bridges and plates crafted from aluminum in order to reduce mass. When combined with the ceramic dial and light weight ceramic case the aluminum movement helps to reduce the mass of this 2018 Rado limited edition to just 56 grams. 500 pieces of the Rado Hyperchrome Ultra Light will be offered for each of the bronze and brown ceramic variants. Moreover, the automatic ETA A31.L02 boasts 64-hours of power reserve - superb for an entry-level luxury watch - and is water resistant to 100 meters for peace of mind.
