Lines of Battle Update 1.1: Faster Battles, More Strategy, Reworked Artillery and MORE!

Lines of Battle Update 1.1 is bringing major changes to the core battlefield experience. In this video, we break down the goals behind the patch and some of the biggest updates coming with it, including the artillery rework, a new timer system, routing and flanking improvements, continued unit balance changes, and updates to maps and objectives. The overall focus of 1.1 is to deepen strategy while also improving pacing and making more army styles viable. Some of the biggest highlights discussed in this update: 1) Artillery moving to direct line-of-sight play 2) New timer modes that better fit quiet turns and critical turns 3) Improved routing, org, and flanking behavior 4) More distinct unit roles and army tradeoffs 5) Changes to ranked maps, map generation, and objective placement/value This patch is all about creating more meaningful decisions, reducing stale strategies, and setting up the game for stronger long-term variety.
