ISO 59000 - The New Gold Standard in Circularity?

The recently (May 2024) published ISO 59000 family of standards seeks to enhance the organisational understanding of the circular economy, harmonise and globally adopt crucial terms & definitions and to standardise CE implementation and measurement approaches. This webinar has been designed to allow for detailed discussions on the ISO 59000 series. A carefully curated panel of experts was chosen to systematically unpack the key strategic components of the ISO 59000 series (with a focus on discussions around ISO 59004: Circular Economy “Terminology, Principles, and Guidance for Implementation”). This was followed by a critical evaluation of the perceived strengths and weaknesses of this pioneering piece of collaborative work (more than 100 countries participated) based on the unique perspective of a standard convener, two European NPOs as well as a representative from the Rwanda Standards Body.
