Clink is a storytelling game where you play as drifters in scenarios akin to westerns, sci-fi and horror settings and you craft the character backstories as you play, building an engaging tale through discussion and coin flips. Here at Dege Time, our goal is to bring a therapeutic form of entertainment to the masses and support independent creators who develop new ways for all of us to do that. The creation of the show Deges & Dragons serves several purposes. Accessibility is an important goal of ours. We will educate viewers about how to play various tabletop role-playing games. The sheer volume of material or inexperience can both make it overwhelming and difficult to grasp the concepts. We hope that through our show games will become easier to try because simply playing them is a healthy outlet. Rather than mainstream games like Dungeons and Dragons we want to draw attention to independent developers because the very creation of these systems is important to culture and social story telling. We hope to bring light to lesser known games that can add value to your life. We also interview developers to better understand their vision and what it's like to be part of the industry for others who may wish to become involved. Each game is examined through the lens of psychology and particular strengths of each system will be drawn out. Counselors can view our wrap ups and determine if the game viewed may help facilitate their groups while focusing on certain aspects of mental health treatment. Merely playing these games will aid with social interaction and skill building. They'll also help treat a myriad of diagnoses such as depression and anxiety, especially when managed by a trained mental health professional.
