It isn't as good as a dry erase board but for the price it works good enough in my book. http://www.homedepot.com/p/EUCATILE-3... I used sanded pine plywood because it seems to be a better quality than the sheathing grad plywood: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Pine-Plywo... UPDATE: I have eliminated the hooks at the baseboard.
