Holy heck Pyro is actually good here This is a deceptively difficult fight. The solos seem trivial but there's a lot of moving parts in the duo and the enrage that the bosses get once one of them is defeated are particularly dangerous. Avatar of Time has a unique Time Record gimmick where every now and then she records your HP, before she resets your HP at a later point. If your HP is below the amount it was at when she recorded your HP, then you will heal due to your HP being reset to a higher value, but she will also reset her HP (and the HP of the Shadowwalker in the duo fight). She also has a Meanwhile DoT which adds a turn of cooldown to the skill you most recently used if it has a cooldown when she acts, and a Time's Flow buff which stacks Boost and Bonus every time she uses it. In addition, if the Shadowwalker is defeated, then the Avatar gets 50 Boost and starts using a really powerful Evil nuke which also applies the Time's Flow buff which means that her damage ramps up very quickly if she is alone. The Shadowwalker is pretty complex - she has two rotations. Her Anteumbral rotation has her stack Shadow Charges, where she gets a Shadow Charge if she does 10% of your HP in direct damage, or if you do 10% of her HP in direct damage. Then, once she gets three Shadow Charges, she transitions into her Umbral rotation where she uses a long-lasting -All debuff and Eternity Ray which is a powerful autocrit nuke. More concerning is the Doomsday nuke she periodically uses - on her second turn of her Anteumbral rotation, she sets up a Doomsday nuke, and every turn she is in her Anteumbral rotation, the Doomsday counter ticks up by one. When the Doomsday counter hits six, she uses her Doomsday Clock, which has an hidden 60 Bonus and reduces your HP by 50% if it connects. Once the Avatar is defeated, the Shadowwalker gets 60 Bonus. This seems trivial but is much more dangerous than it looks - as it means that on certain turns, the Shadowwalker can either stack enough Bonus or reduce your MPM and BPD to pierce through shields, even with MPM or BPD stack. In addition, the Doomsday counter now ticks regardless of which rotation she is in, and Doomsday Clock now reduces your HP by 75% instead of 50%. This is a very good matchup for Pyromancer - you have a high uptime BPD shield which would normally be questionable but the Shadowwalker has an innate -300 Crit so if you stack BPD and use Magma Bubble, she cannot touch you at all outside of Doomsday Clock. We use Relic of When as we need its 5 BPD to hit 124 BPD in order to do this. Doomsday Clock looks very scary (and I presume it is scary for most classes), but the Shadowwalker's damage output isn't that high outside of Doomsday Clock and Eternity Ray, and as such even if you do get hit by Doomsday Clock Magefire can heal enough to keep you out of danger. We defeat Avatar of Time first as her damage ramps up very quickly once Shadowwalker is defeated. To do this, we use Cysero's Spare Hammer on turns 4 and 5, and Magma Bubble on turn 6. With luck, this allows us to dodge Avatar's heal (which also gives her damage reduction if it connects!) and Shadowwalker's first Doomsday Clock on turn 7. We use Ashes on turn 10 to purge Avatar's -20 All, which allows us to facetank Neverwas Cross. Then, we use Scales on turn 14 to both dodge Shadowwalker's -50 Boost and Bonus debuff on turn 14, as well as Shadowwalker's second Doomsday Clock on turn 15. Once the Avatar of Time is defeated, the Shadowwalker by herself isn't too dangerous. We use Magma Bubble on turn 21 so that Shadow People misses - as otherwise, she uses Doomsday Clock and Eternity Ray on turn 23. Afterwards, it's mostly smooth sailing - but remember to keep track of her rotations and use Fire Chains if it looks like Shadowwalker is going to use Doomsday Clock with her +60 Bonus buff. The rotation for this fight can be found here (which I didn't follow completely): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/... 0:00 Avatar of Time 6:21 Shadowwalker of Time
