Welcome to Perky's Analog Gear Demos. Please subscribe for more demos of vintage & rare effects pedals! In Part I of this mini-series, I fitted a Callaham Vintage T bridge to my Mexican Tele (converted to an Esquire...!) and it made quite a substantial difference! The sustain was better; there was more low end; and slightly extended highs. Win! In this second video, I'll be looking at the age-old question of Brass vs. Steel saddles on guitars...does the material ACTUALLY make a difference to the tone of the guitar? And if so...what? Plus, I'll also be comparing the two Callahams to the stock brass-saddled bridge that came fitted to my MIJ '52 Reissue - again, to see exactly how much of an upgrade the Callahams are. What do you think? Which saddle material is your favourite? And why? Comment below! Guitar is a 1992 MIJ Fender 52' Reissue Tele with Monty's Retro Wind Tele bridge and Bare Knuckle Flat '50 neck pickups, recorded through a Dr Z DB4 (SM57), a Hughes & Kettner Puretone Combo (sE Electronics RNR1 Ribbon) and a Cornell Romany Plus (recorded with a 1970s MD441) jp@joeperkins.co.uk Vector images by freepik.com
