I've found that simplifying my whole photography process has allowed me to take more photos and enjoy my results. Here's what the process looked like for me. Learn Everything You Can The first part to being able to simplifying your photography process is to first learn as much as you can. We live in the age of information so you shouldn't have a problem learning what you need to. Whether is portraiture, or landscapes or street photography, everything is out there for you to learn from. We also live in the golden age of cameras. There are so many options for camera and lenses and accessories, and all of them are GREAT. Try, experiment and learn about what equipment you need to get your desired results. Simplify Your Equipment After absorbing as much as you can, zone in on just what you need, and what you feel good using. I've simplified my kit to two prime lenses and my camera. That's it. It's removed the stress of having to worry about buying new gear and allows me to focus more on shooting. Find The Process That Works For You The next thing you need to simplify is the process you go through when you shoot. I've found that processing my photos is not something that I'm incredibly excited about. It's turned me off from photography for a long time. The discovery that's helped me get back into photography is the ability to transfer photos from my DSLR to my phone, and edit those photos using VSCO. It's not the best process out there, but it's the one that works for me at the moment.
