During shipping cross country my new PM-949TV had two issues, one a broken nod gear and a broken tilt bolt. Precision Matthews was rapid to respond to my issues but had a problem getting the casting from the factory, taking a total of two months. Once I had the parts it took about 5 hours to disassemble, insert the new parts and reassemble it. The PM-949TV is a high quality machine that I would recommend to anyone. All the parts are high quality with little runout. The spindle had so little runout that I had to check the Mitutoyo test indication to make sure it was working. I am so glad I bought from Precision Matthews at no point did I feel that I had been abandoned and on my own. I made this video hoping that someone can learn from the process I used to tear down the PM-949TV and have more confidence tearing into the machine.
